Search Institute Workshops

A trainer from the Search Institute will be coming to Missouri to provide workshops in two locations. The same sessions will be offered at both locations.

Workshops:

Morning Session (9am-12pm):  Building Developmental Relationships in School Communities
This workshop will introduce the Developmental Asset framework and describe the connection to student achievement, show how to build assets for every student, and empower educators to initiate, increase and strengthen the asset-building efforts that already exist in their school.
Who should Attend: Teachers, counselors, administrators, other education professionals, youth workers, youth program leaders, parents, staff from familyserving organizations, members of collective impact partnerships and other community coalitions

Afternoon Session (1pm-4pm):  Engaging Families: A Relationship Based Approach

Art of Recovery on September 24th at Mill Creek Park on the Plaza

Art of Recovery on September 24th from 11:30AM to 1:00PM at Mill Creek Park on the Plaza (JC Nichols Parkway, North of 46th Terrace)

September is National Recovery Month and in Kansas City First Call and Valley Hope are organizing an event to celebrate recovery by creating “Art for the Sky.” A unique team-building activity, hundreds of people will come together to create an image that is photographed from 80 feet. Join us in celebrating the beauty of recovery. All are welcome.
