Morning Session (9am-12pm): Building Developmental Relationships in School Communities
This workshop will introduce the Developmental Asset framework and describe the connection to student achievement, show how to build assets for every student, and empower educators to initiate, increase and strengthen the asset-building efforts that already exist in their school.
Who should Attend: Teachers, counselors, administrators, other education professionals, youth workers, youth program leaders, parents, staff from familyserving organizations, members of collective impact partnerships and other community coalitions
Afternoon Session (1pm-4pm): Engaging Families: A Relationship Based Approach
This workshop is for youth-serving organizations that work with parents and other family members. Participants will be introduced to a research-based approach that builds on family strengths
Who Should Attend: Educators, counselors, school administrators, youth workers, youth program leaders, staff from family serving organizations, members of collective impact partnerships and other community coalitions, parenting and family life educators, family involvement coordinators, and social service providers
